All 538 electors met in their respective state capitals in December to cast their votes.  The vote count on Friday, January 6th made it official.  Vice President Joe Biden presided over the count in his role as president of the Senate. Donald Trump finished with 304 electoral votes and Democrat Hillary Clinton got 227. It takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the presidency. As expected, Mike Pence was elected Vice President. Trump and Pence are to be sworn at noon local time on January 20th, 2017 on the steps of the United States Capitol Building.

Trump vs. Cruz: GOP Nomination

Even though Donald Trump has been dominating the polls over the past several weeks, many establishment conservatives and pundits still insist that either Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz will end up winning the GOP nomination.  However, the predictions markets (what Vegas oddsmakers use to bet on the outcomes of political contest) state Donald Trump odds at 63% for winning, and GOP conservative candidate Senator Ted Cruz at a modest 14% chance respectively. Therefore, the billionaire real-estate mogul is the clear “house favorite” to win.

What has being transpiring on the GOP campaign trail and in the polls is coming to pass, based on the forecast of a horary that was cast in mid-December, to serve as a working example of political contest horary for the students who participated in my class.

Trump vs. Cruz GOP Nomination Horary Chart

At the time, the question was asked it was widely believed by political pundits that Cruz would quickly cut down Trump’s growing lead in the polls. However, according to Vegas odds-makers, Trump was heavily favored to win over Cruz and was the “House Favorite” and, therefore, allocated the 1st House.  Cruz, “the Underdog” would be allocated the 7th House.  The 10th House would rule the prize (The GOP Nomination), and the Moon would be the GOP voters that would participate in the contest.

In the horary figure Virgo is rising.  Mercury rules Virgo by dignity and exaltation and therefore rules the Trump campaign.  Mercury is peregrine, fast moving, and strongly place in the 4th House applying to Neptune by sextile followed by a conjunction with Pluto. Testimonies that augur that Trump will REMAIN the clear frontrunner and continue to run an unorthodox campaign and make untraditional moves that only expand his support throughout the primaries, despite every effort by the establishment and mainstream media to take him out of the running.

Pisces is on the 7th House Cusp, therefore Jupiter rules the Cruz campaign.  Jupiter is strongly place in the 1st House and applying to the benefic North Node.  The Moon also makes a benefic trine to Jupiter — a horary testimony that illustrates Cruz has the political charm and astute conservative image of a potential frontrunner with well-funded establishment connections.  However, Jupiter is in the sign of his Fall and slow in motion, and conjunct the Ascendant (Inside the cusp) — testimonies that augur that the Cruz campaign will be vastly overwhelmed by Trump.  Also, with the malefic South Node in Cruz’s 7th House we can expect his poll numbers to steadily to decline leading to each successive primary contest.

Mercury rules both the 1st House of the Trump campaign and the 10th House of the GOP Nominee prize, indicating his campaign to win.  Also, the Moon (ruler of the voters) is in Capricorn, strongly place in the 4th House and making its first aspect to Mercury — a powerful testimony that augurs unprecedented voter turnout for Trump that would bring a decisive set of victories in the early primary states.

Prediction: Based on the horary testimonies, it is highly probable that Trump will win both Iowa and New Hampshire, and then go on to win South Carolina and Nevada — as he is favored to do — and likely  conceivably win every contest.

Will Greece Vote To Leave The Euro?

A major vote in Greece will occur today that will both shape the future of its economy and Europe’s monetary union. The Greek Bailout Referendum has now become critical, for if the Greek voters vote “No” and side with Tsipras government, then there will be a very sharp recession over the next few months, tax collection will collapse,  and the Tsipras government is unlikely to survive the economic collapse. However, if  the public votes “yes,” then  the existing government will likely be reorganized, the banks will be able to reopen, and conclude the terms set by the European Union.

Greeks just started (as of this writing) casting ballots today in the closely watched bailout referendum, with opinion polls showing people evenly split on whether to accept the EU creditors’ proposals for more austerity in exchange for additional rescue loans, or defiantly reject the deal and leave the Eurozone.

Greek Vote

According to European “futures market” data, there is a 67% probability that the public will vote “Yes” in today’s Greek Referendum Vote, while the “No” Vote has a modest 36% chance of succeeding.  Therefore, the “Yes” Vote is the house favorite and assigned to the 1st House in the contest horary figure, and the “No” Vote – the Underdog, is assigned to the 7th House.

The Moon rules the remaining undecided Greek voters, and the 10th House is the prize: the outcome of the Referendum vote.

Horary Analysis:

Capricorn is on the Ascendant, therefore  Saturn rules the 1st House.  The sign Cancer is on the Descendant. Since the Moon rules the voters in political contest horary, we must move to the next sign over to Leo. Therefore the Sun rules the 7th House. Before we proceed with judgement, let’s list our Contest Horary Rules of Engagement:

1st House Favorite – “Yes” Vote Testimonies:

Ruler of the 1st House – Saturn Dignified by Term +
Ruler of the 1st House in the 10th House +

The Moon Rules the Hour +

Analysis

The contest horary testimonies indicate that the “No” Vote has been losing traction and strength since the “Greek Default” on July 30th. The Moon, which rules the undecided voters, is in the sign Aquarius, an infertile sign – a testimony of aging Babyboomer voters on the verge of retirement will be the key voting demographic group to impact the outcome of the Referendum vote. The Moon makes an aspect by opposition to Venus in the 7th House, and translates her light to Saturn – ruler of the Favorite by square – indicating that the remaining voters that are undecided will swing the close vote to the “Yes” Vote.  Since the Moon rules the day and placed in a angular house, we can expect high voter turn-out. to be high.

Judgement

The Moon’s last aspect is a square to Saturn indicating an extremely Close “Yes” Vote outcome. Since the ruler of the 10th Mars is combust and in opposition to Pluto, testimonies that indicate that Sunday’s vote is more about about whether Greece will agree to remain a debt colony of Germany, pardon its differences with the EU, even as the IMF and Athens agree that the country’s catastrophic debt level is unsustainable and untenable.

Pluto rules the EU oligarchial elite and its Central Banking system. The applying Mars-Pluto opposition indicates that EU is in trouble not because of Greece, but because of forced supranational inter-dependency of Portugal, Ireland, Italy and Spain who have even bigger sovereign debt disasters then Greece, brewing on the near horizon. The EU by all rights should not exist, nor should any centralized supranational single currency system.

The Sun is both the ruler of the “No” Vote and the Tsipras government. The Sun is of modest strength and in opposition to malefic Pluto after Moon changes signs. A testimony that indicates that the outcome of Sunday’s vote will likely lead to resignation of the Tsipras government and the call for a new election for a new unity government.

Bottom Line: The “Yes” Vote horary testimonies show less  pain for Greece on the short term, but a loss of national sovereignty, with no hope of economy for over a generation.

Mundane Horary: GREECE BAILOUT REFERENDUM: YES or NO?
Question Asked By Astrologer 7/1/2015 at 10:15 am PDT, San Francisco, CA.

chart-horary_Greece-Bailout-Referendum-Yes-No_2015-07-01

According to Vegas Odds-makers there is a 71% probability that the YES Vote will be the result of the Greek Referendum Vote. Therefore, the Yes Vote is the house favorite and assigned to the 1st House, and the No Vote is Underdog is assigned to the 7th House. The 10th House represents the European Union and the Moon is the Greek people.

Horary Analysis:

Mercury rules the Ascendant, dignified by sign and placed in the 10th House of the European Union. Jupiter rules the 7th House, somewhat dignified by term, with modest strength placed in the cadent 12th House. The Moon is in its detriment by sign, in opposition to the malefic Mars and the Sun (universal indicator of the Greek leadership), testimonies of a demoralized and angry electorate that will become defiant to its nations leadership in the coming days.

Horary Conclusion:

The Ascendant Degree is Invalid, being less then 3 degrees, indicating that it is premature at this time to make a final judgement on the matter. However, the horary testimonies support Vegas Odds-makers’ current projections for a Yes Vote this coming Sunday that could possibly lead to a new election of a new unity government.

2014 Louisiana Senate Race – Cassidy vs. Landrieu: December 6th Runoff

2014 Louisiana Senate Race – Cassidy (R) vs. Landrieu (D)*

midterm-elections-2014_louisiana-senate-runoff

Senator Mary Landrieu actually edged out GOP Representative Bill Cassidy on Election Day, 42%-41% percent, a difference of just over 16,000 votes. But Tea Party candidate Rob Maness, who finished with 14% of the vote, is campaigning for Cassidy now. Although the Louisiana Senator is now considered the Underdog according to oddsmakers, Landrieu claims she has a path to victory in her Dec. 6 runoff. However, her GOP Opponent is so confident he has the race in hand that he’s only agreed to debate Landrieu once, instead of the six encounters Landrieu wants. So the political contest horary question is, despite the odds and the recent GOP mid-term election victories:

“Does Mary Landrieu have a prayer?”

Based the horary testimonies the answer is a resounding NO!

The testimonies of the political contest horary snapshot, taken November 16th, 2014 at 07:36 pm PST in San Francisco, CA,  point to a decisive victory for the GOP on December 6th.

British Oddsmakers “futures market” data shows that the Union “No” Vote currently has a 64% chance of winning on Thursday, while the Independent “Yes” Vote has a modest 20% chance. Therefore, the Union “No” Vote is favored and assigned to the 1st House, and the Independent “Yes” Vote is the underdog and assigned to the 7th House.

The Moon rules the remaining Undecided voters, and the 10th House is the prize: the outcome of the Independence vote. Before we proceed with judgement, let’s list our Contest Horary Rules of Engagement:

Testimonies for the Election – the 10th House

Analysis

The contest horary testimonies indicate that the Union “No” Vote is losing strength and the 5% remaining undecideds could swing it either way with just hours to go before polls open on Thursday at 0600 GMT.

The Moon, which rules the undecided voters, is in Cancer – in a very fertile and feminine sign; women ages 16 to 28 will be the key voting demographic group. The Moon makes an aspect by sextile to the ruler of the 10th House, and translates the light to Mercury – ruler of the Underdog by square – indicating that the remaining 5% that are undecided could potentially swing the vote to the Independence “Yes” Vote.  Since the Moon is well dignified on conjunct a beneficial fixed star, expect the voter turn-out to break records.

However the Moon’s last aspect is a square to Mercury, a testimony that augurs that victory is still out of reach for the Independent “Yes” voters.

Judgement

Extremely Close “No” Vote Outcome.
